The National Aged Care Alliance is a representative body of peak national organisations in aged care, including consumer groups, providers, unions, and health professionals, working together to determine a more positive future for aged care in Australia.
The Alliance was formed in April 2000. Representatives attending the inaugural meeting resolved to recommend to their organisations that a united policy agenda be developed to achieve better outcomes for the care of older Australians.
The Hallmark Ageing Research Initiative forms part of the University's Hallmark Research Initiatives, which aim to enable the maturing of focused research communities that build on existing strengths across the University and beyond. The Initiatives have been established in selected priority areas which have significant potential to harness cross-University capabilities and open up targeted funding opportunities.
The National Continence Helpline is a free telephone advisory service staffed by a team of continence nurse advisors who provide information, education and advice to callers with incontinence or who are caring for someone with incontinence. The Helpline also provides information and advice to health professionals.
