The Helpline operates Monday to Friday from 9am -5pm.

Dementia Care Navigator

Dementia Australia is seeking participants who reside in Perth WA and surrounding regions. Participation in the trial is free. You will be asked to evaluate the trial and your experiences will allow us to improve the support we provide to people wanting to access aged care services.

Living with Dementia program

If you are living with early stage dementia or are a family carer for someone with dementia, you are welcome to join our early intervention program.

You will get information and support through sharing your experiences with a small group of others in a similar situation. Read more about Living with dementia program here.

Community Education

We present about dementia, keeping your brain healthy, the differences between age related changes and dementia, and tips on better communication and supporting people living with dementia all across the Perth metropolitan area, as well as in regional areas. If you are interested in coming to an event, please contact the National Dementia Helpline on 1800 100 500 and someone from the WA team will let you know about events in your area.

Carer Education

In this workshop we will explore how dementia can change those affected by it, and how it impacts on relationships for the person with the illness and those who care for them. We will focus on the grief and loss that dementia can bring, maintaining well-being, and minimising the impact of challenging behaviours.
